Speculating plausible technologies for future emergent problems

Carlos Silveira is a Brazilian biofuturist dedicated to developing plausible speculative technologies, integrating biological patterns, materials, and logics to solve future emerging problems. His work bridges technical and creative dimensions by hybridizing various tools to envision a more ecocentric future through biodesign, futures thinking, and philosophy.

As a consequence, the state of the art in his projects emerges when the technologies become artifacts that challenge our understanding of how we live. Rather than merely expressing something inherently human, they explore new scenarios and invite us to reconsider our identity and envision who we might become in the future through cultural and social explorations.

He currently works as an independent researcher, educator, and director of Bioart projects at the iGEM Community.

Communication is the consequence of the intended performance of the solution.

Like nature itself.
